In early August, Hangxiao Steel Structure Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Hangxiao Steel Structure) successfully signed the Saudi InoChem project for 300,000 tons/year of soda ash and 300,000 tons/year of calcium chloride with China Chengda Engineering Co., Ltd. This project is the first soda ash project in GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) countries and the region’s first chemical project not based on oil and gas resources. It also serves as a proactive response to the national "Belt and Road Initiative."

The InoChem Soda Ash Calcium Chloride Project is located in an industrial zone in eastern Saudi Arabia. It includes process units for the annual production of 300,000 tons of soda ash and 300,000 tons of calcium chloride, along with supporting public utilities. All equipment, materials, and construction for this project adhere to Chinese standards.

Hangxiao Steel Structure will collaborate with Chengda to contribute to the construction of the Saudi InoChem Soda Ash Calcium Chloride Project. Together, they will actively foster economic partnerships with countries along the Belt and Road, working toward building a community of shared interests, shared future, and shared responsibility characterized by political trust, economic integration, and cultural inclusiveness.
