The Intercontinental Sheshan Shimao Hotel (Deep Pit Hotel), constructed by Hangxiao Steel Structure, is located at the foot of Sheshan Mountain in Songjiang, Shanghai, with an altitude of minus 88 meters, which is the lowest five-star hotel in the world, and is also the world's first natural ecological hotel constructed in a waste rock pit, which is rated as the "World's Top Ten Wonders of Architecture" along with the Dubai Sailboat Hotel.The main building of the hotel is divided into the above ground part, the underground part to the water surface and the underwater part, with a total construction area of 55,058 square meters.The structure is a space pipe truss structure, with a total length of 99 meters in longitudinal axial span, 80.4 meters in transverse axial span, an elevation of 21 meters at the top of the concrete columns, 24 meters at the gable end, and 24.9 meters at the ridge of the roof.The maximum span of the single truss is 45 meters and the maximum weight of the single truss is 19 tons.The project won the 18th China Civil Engineering Zhan Tianyou Award.
